While no hearing aid restores normal hearing or solves every hearing problem, hearing aids can make a significant difference in terms of making soft sounds audible and making speech intelligible.

At Maxwell, Kluger & Makaretz, we feature state-of-the-art digital programmable hearing aids by Siemens as well as other major manufacturers. Some of the advancements in hearing aid technology include:

	•	Wireless technology that allows communication between the right and left hearing aids so that the hearing aids provide synchronized sound processing for optimal hearing in challenging listening situations.
	•	Adaptive noise reduction to minimize the loudness of bothersome background noises, such as computers humming and refrigerators running.
	•	Automatic directional microphones for improved speech understanding in noisy environments.
	•	Digital signal processing to improve sound clarity.
	•	Open ear fittings for a more comfortable, natural fit.
	•	Adaptive speech enhancement.
	•	Automatic wind noise reduction.

MKM provides a 35-day trial period for all hearing aids. Our patients may return hearing aids within this trial period for any reason, for full refund, minus the cost of earmolds. In addition, the audiologists at MKM offer free yearly hearing aid rechecks to clean hearing aids and check hearing aid performance. Our hearing aids come standard with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. If a hearing aid requires repairs after the warranty expires and that repair can be done at MKM, there will be no charge for the repair.
